Who should get it
HDFC Infinia is still one of India's strongest premium rewards cards, but it is not a normal apply-and-get product. It is invite-only, with approvals depending on high income, high existing limits, heavy spends and relationship value.
The card's base earn rate is already strong: 5 Reward Points per Rs 150, worth about 3.3% when redeemed at Rs 1 per point for flights or hotels through SmartBuy. The real upside comes from SmartBuy accelerators, where flights, hotels, vouchers and partner brands can multiply the return.
It is best for high spenders and frequent travelers who can use SmartBuy, reward transfers and unlimited lounge access. It is not ideal for cashback-first users, because cashback redemption is much lower at 30 paise per Reward Point.
