Joining and renewal feesNo joining or annual fee while a Solitaire programme member. Downgrade triggers ₹25,000 + GST annual fee; this is not unconditional lifetime-free pricing.
EligibilityInvitation only and subject to card approval. Programme eligibility: ₹5 lakh monthly net salary credit, or family relationship value of ₹75 lakh for salaried / ₹1 crore for self-employed customers. Ask your relationship manager to confirm qualification.
Air Miles earning10/₹100 on eligible flight, hotel and add-on bookings via Kotak Unbox: 3 base + 7 accelerated. The accelerated component is capped at 1,00,000 Air Miles per statement cycle; base 3/₹100 continues. Other eligible domestic purchases earn 3/₹100. Transactions round down to ₹100 blocks.
RedemptionOn Unbox, each Air Mile is worth ₹1 toward travel or ₹0.50 toward vouchers. Minimum 500 miles; the dedicated FAQ limits redemption to 80% of booking value. Miles expire after 3 years. No redemption fee.
Partner transfersAir India 1:1; Accor 2:1; Marriott 3:1. The dedicated FAQ also lists British Airways, Qatar, United, Cathay, Flying Blue, Etihad, Air Canada and Singapore Airlines at 2:1. Minimum 2,000 Air Miles. Confirm live partner availability in Kotak Unbox before transferring.
ForexZero forex markup on international purchases; these purchases earn no Air Miles. Choose local currency to avoid merchant dynamic currency conversion charges.

Tax and UPI conditionsThe Solitaire-specific FAQ permits tax payments under MCC 9311 despite excluding other listed government categories. RuPay credit-card UPI transactions of ₹2,000 or less earn no miles. Larger payments still need eligible merchant coding.
Offer and source differencesThe product page still advertises ₹1 Zomato Gold, but its linked terms ended 31 August 2026; it is not counted as a current benefit. The April PDF lists fewer transfer partners than the dedicated FAQ. The FAQ also retains the 80% redemption ceiling omitted from newer product copy; confirm these details in Unbox.

Who should get it

Best suited to customers who already qualify for Solitaire banking and value Unbox travel, family lounges and overseas spending. Moving assets solely for a credit card deserves a separate cost comparison.

Air Miles are travel currency, not statement cashback. Portal fares, redemption limits and partner ratios determine realised value. International spending saves the forex markup but earns no miles.

Reward exclusions

Transactions that do not earn Air Miles

Eligibility follows the merchant category code and transaction data received by the issuer, so the merchant name alone may not determine whether a transaction earns rewards.

  • International transactions, cash advances and EMI purchases
  • Utilities and telecom (4812, 4814, 4899, 4900); insurance (5960, 6300)
  • Education and government MCCs listed in the Solitaire FAQ; tax payments under MCC 9311 are expressly excepted
  • Rent (6513), wallets (6540) and fuel (5172, 5541, 5542, 5552, 5983)
  • Gaming (5816, 7800, 7801, 7802, 7994, 7995, 9406)
  • RuPay credit-card UPI transactions of ₹2,000 or less

Solitaire-specific exclusions apply. Eligible payments round down to ₹100 blocks. Zero forex markup and fuel surcharge waivers are separate benefits, not Air Miles earning. Generic Kotak exclusion lists differ on tax; use the card-specific FAQ and confirm live treatment with the issuer.

Kotak Solitaire FAQs

Is Kotak Solitaire lifetime free?

Fees are nil while you remain a Solitaire programme member. If downgraded, the annual fee becomes ₹25,000 plus GST. Card approval is separate from banking eligibility.

Does overseas spending earn Air Miles?

No. International transactions have zero forex markup but do not earn Air Miles.

How do I redeem or transfer Air Miles?

Use Kotak Unbox. Travel is ₹1 per mile and vouchers ₹0.50. Start with 500 miles for bookings; the dedicated FAQ caps payment with miles at 80%. Transfers start at 2,000 miles, with partner-specific ratios.

Does the District offer include movies and dining?

Yes, eligible app purchases qualify for 20% off up to ₹5,000, twice per card/month, using KOTAKSOLITAIRE through 31 March 2027. Music concerts are excluded; checkout terms apply.

Can I earn miles on RuPay UPI and tax payments?

The Solitaire-specific FAQ allows eligible tax payments under MCC 9311. RuPay UPI payments of ₹2,000 or less earn no miles; eligible larger transactions remain subject to exclusions.

Is the Zomato Gold welcome offer currently valid?

The linked issuer terms ended 31 August 2026. We have excluded it from current benefits unless Kotak confirms a renewed offer.
