Who should get it

Axis Neo is best understood as a low-fee discount card, not a high-reward credit card. Lifetime-free pricing is available only through selected application channels.

The main practical hooks are flat Rs 120 off on Zomato orders of Rs 499 or more twice a month, 5% off Paytm utility bills, eligible Blinkit discounts, BookMyShow savings, Dining Delights access and occasional Axis instant-discount offers.

It can work as a first Axis card or a low-maintenance companion card when its merchant offers fit. It is not a strong primary card for broad spending because EDGE Rewards earn only 1 point per Rs 200 and several everyday categories do not earn rewards.

Reward exclusions

Transactions that do not earn EDGE Reward points

Eligibility follows the merchant category code and transaction data received by the issuer, so the merchant name alone may not determine whether a transaction earns rewards.

  • Utilities, education, insurance and government payments
  • Wallets, rent, fuel and gift cards
  • Bridge fees, road fees and tolls

Merchant discounts, such as a utility-bill offer, are separate from EDGE Reward earning. This summary follows Axis’s dedicated Neo merchant-code exclusions.
