Who should get it

Best considered by drivers using eligible IndianOil terminals who will redeem into XTRAREWARDS. The same points have a lower value through other RBL redemption options.

Compare the ₹1,500 + GST fee against your own eligible fuel spend. The fuel-point cap and surcharge waiver have different conditions; broad excluded-category spending does not unlock the quarterly milestone or annual waiver.

This is the XTRA variant, not the lower-fee standard IndianOil RBL card. Choose RuPay only if its UPI route and small-merchant restriction suit your payments.

Reward exclusions

Transactions that do not earn Fuel Points

Eligibility follows the merchant category code and transaction data received by the issuer, so the merchant name alone may not determine whether a transaction earns rewards.

  • Utilities, insurance, quasi-cash, railways and rent/real estate
  • Education, wallets/service providers and government payments
  • Contracted services, cash and listed miscellaneous merchant codes
  • Bills2Pay, EMI conversions, fees, charges and GST
  • Offline RuPay UPI below ₹2,000 at small merchants (prior-year turnover up to ₹20 lakh)

These exclusions also affect qualifying quarterly-milestone and annual-waiver spend. Only listed IndianOil MID/TIDs qualify for 15 FP/₹100. Redemption into XTRAREWARDS is fuel value, not cashback or statement credit.

How much does IndianOil RBL XTRA earn on fuel?

Is 7.5% the same as 8.5% cashback?

No. The 7.5% is fuel-redemption value on eligible transactions within the point cap; the 1% surcharge waiver is a separate capped refund. GST on surcharge and fees can reduce net savings. Fuel Points cannot pay the statement balance.

How do RBL Fuel Points convert to IndianOil XTRAREWARDS?
