How rewards calculators work

Indian banks let you move credit-card points or miles into airline and hotel loyalty programs at a fixed ratio. A 1:1 ratio moves value with no loss; a diluted ratio like 2:1 or 5:1 gives fewer partner points, so it only makes sense when the award price justifies it. These calculators apply each card’s real, issuer-verified ratio to your balance — and let you model a transfer bonus and your own per-mile value — so you can decide before making a one-way, final transfer.

Questions, answered

What is a credit card rewards calculator?
It is a tool that converts the points or miles you earn on a credit card into the airline miles or hotel points you would receive after a transfer. You enter your balance and card, and it shows what each loyalty partner returns at the current ratio — so you can compare before moving points.
Which Indian bank gives the best transfer ratios?
It depends on the card and partner. HSBC TravelOne/Premier and SBI Card MILES convert to many partners at 1:1, while Axis Atlas gives 1:2 (two partner miles per EDGE Mile) to most airlines. Kotak and Amex are often 2:1. A better ratio only matters if the award you book is worth it.
Are these calculators free and private?
Yes. Every calculator is free, needs no sign-up, and runs entirely in your browser — your balances are never submitted to a server. Your inputs are only kept in the page URL so you can share a result.
Are the transfer ratios official?
For Axis, SBI, HSBC and Kotak, yes — ratios are taken from issuer and loyalty-program sources and dated on each page. American Express is the exception: its India transfer table is shown only inside your account, so the Amex page clearly labels its figures as estimates. Programs change ratios, caps and partners without notice, so always confirm the live rate in your issuer portal before transferring.
