International spends usually come with one annoying cost: forex markup. Scapia is useful abroad because it charges zero forex markup on international spends. When that is combined with Visa Power Travel, the math becomes clean: the campaign reward is not reduced by forex charges.

Update: Visa has expanded the Power Travel campaign. The live campaign site now includes Australia, Japan, Nepal and Sri Lanka along with the earlier eligible countries. Eligible Klook spends in these four destinations are now part of the extra reward opportunity, along with Google Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay spends in eligible countries.

This guide is for Scapia Visa credit card holders. The Visa Power Travel campaign applies only to eligible Visa cards, so the card network matters.

Start Here: What Actually Unlocks the Rewards

The most important baseline is the milestone: ₹1,00,000 + 20 eligible transactions unlocks a ₹10,000 Jetsetter bonus. That is ₹10,000 on the first ₹1 lakh, so if you complete the milestone under the offer terms, you have a 10% campaign value from the bonus alone, before adding the 0.5% base reward or the additional 10% partner reward.

For listed Visa partner merchants, the payment mode can work if the transaction matches that partner's eligibility rules, uses the eligible Visa card, gets posted through VisaNet, and is not cancelled or refunded.

Important Scapia note: the Tap to Pay route in Visa Power Travel is listed for Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Scapia is not currently usable for those mobile NFC routes, so Scapia users should not depend on the Tap to Pay route. For Scapia, the practical way to chase the additional 10% layer is by spending at listed Visa partner merchants, especially Klook in the newly added countries.

The Core Offer

Visa Power Travel is valid from 20 April 2026 to 30 September 2026, or until reward stock lasts, whichever happens earlier.

Visa Power Travel applies to Indian-issued Visa consumer cards used in these eleven countries:

Eligible Country
Australia
France
Japan
Nepal
Sri Lanka
Singapore
Thailand
United Arab Emirates
United Kingdom
United States of America
Vietnam

The offer has three reward layers.

Reward LayerWhat You Earn
Base Visa reward0.5%
Extra reward on Google Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay or Visa partners10%
Jetsetter milestone bonus₹10,000 on ₹1,00,000 spend + 20 eligible transactions

The maximum campaign reward is capped at ₹50,000 per eligible card.

Rewards are redeemable as Amazon vouchers or Air India vouchers in blocks of ₹1,000.

What Changed in the Expansion?

The campaign has moved from seven countries to eleven countries. The newly added countries are:

New CountryWhat the live campaign site showsScapia interpretation
AustraliaGoogle Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay + KlookUse Scapia mainly for eligible Klook spends
JapanGoogle Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay + KlookUse Scapia mainly for eligible Klook spends
NepalGoogle Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay + KlookUse Scapia mainly for eligible Klook spends
Sri LankaGoogle Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay + KlookUse Scapia mainly for eligible Klook spends

This is a meaningful expansion for Scapia users because Klook is a listed Visa partner and Scapia has zero forex markup. The Tap to Pay expansion is useful for eligible Visa cards that can be added to Google Pay or Samsung Pay, but Scapia users should treat Klook/listed partner spends as the main practical route.

Why Scapia Is Interesting Here

Scapia’s headline travel benefit is zero forex markup on international spends.

That matters because many cards may earn rewards abroad but also charge 2% to 3.5% forex markup plus GST. Scapia removes that cost layer, so the Visa campaign reward is not reduced by forex charges.

However, Scapia does not earn Scapia coins on international spends. So the calculation is straightforward:

Visa campaign reward + zero forex markup = effective return

There is no additional Scapia reward layer to add. For a Scapia Visa cardholder, the value of this offer comes almost entirely from the Visa Power Travel campaign, with Scapia’s zero forex feature making the campaign math cleaner.

The Reward Math on Scapia

Assume you spend ₹1,00,000 in eligible countries, complete 20 eligible transactions, and all spends qualify for the extra 10% layer through listed Visa partner merchants such as Klook.

ComponentCalculationReward / Cost
Base Visa reward0.5% of ₹1,00,000₹500
Extra Visa reward10% of ₹1,00,000₹10,000
Jetsetter milestoneOne-time bonus₹10,000
Scapia forex markupZero₹0
Scapia coins on international spendsNot applicable₹0
Total net value₹20,500

That is 20.5% value back on the first ₹1 lakh.

This is the clean Scapia case: no forex cost deducted, and no Scapia coins added.

After the First ₹1 Lakh

The ₹10,000 Jetsetter milestone is a one-time bonus per eligible card.

So after the first ₹1 lakh on your Scapia Visa card, the same card earns:

Reward LayerRate
Base Visa reward0.5%
Extra partner reward10%
Total Visa reward after milestone10.5%

Example: next ₹1,00,000 optimized spend on the same Scapia Visa card.

ComponentReward / Cost
Base Visa reward, 0.5%₹500
Extra Visa reward, 10%₹10,000
Jetsetter milestoneAlready used
Scapia forex markup₹0
Scapia coins₹0
Total net value₹10,500

Effective return: 10.5%.

Should Scapia Holders Chase the ₹50,000 Cap?

The campaign cap is ₹50,000 per eligible card.

If every rupee qualifies for the extra 10% layer, one Scapia Visa card can reach the cap at roughly this spend level:

Spend SlabReward RateReward
First ₹1,00,00020.5%₹20,500
Next approx. ₹2,80,95210.5%₹29,500
Total approx. ₹3,80,952₹50,000

So around ₹3.81 lakh of optimized spend can exhaust the full ₹50,000 cap on one Scapia Visa card.

But strategically, if you have another eligible Visa card, it may be better to unlock a fresh first-₹1-lakh milestone on that second card.

StrategySpendVisa Reward
Scapia Visa: ₹1,00,000 + 20 transactions₹1,00,000₹20,500
Another Visa card: ₹1,00,000 + 20 transactions₹1,00,000₹20,500
Total₹2,00,000₹41,000

Compare that with using only Scapia for ₹2,00,000:

StrategySpendVisa Reward
Scapia Visa: first ₹1,00,000₹1,00,000₹20,500
Scapia Visa: next ₹1,00,000₹1,00,000₹10,500
Total₹2,00,000₹31,000

The difference is ₹10,000, because the second eligible Visa card unlocks a fresh Jetsetter milestone.

What Counts as Eligible Spend

Eligible spends include:

  • In-person POS purchases in the eleven eligible countries.
  • ATM withdrawals in the eleven eligible countries.
  • Spends at listed Visa partner merchants.
  • Tap to Pay spends through Google Pay or Samsung Pay for cards that support those wallet routes.

However, ATM withdrawals are not ideal. Even if the campaign gives base reward on ATM withdrawals, credit-card cash withdrawal fees and interest can wipe out the benefit.

Also, ATM withdrawals do not count toward the ₹1,00,000 + 20 transaction Jetsetter milestone.

Country-Wise Guide for Scapia Users

Australia

Australia is newly included. The campaign site shows Google Pay / Samsung Pay Tap to Pay and Klook.

Best Scapia strategy: focus on eligible Klook spends for attractions, tours and experiences. Use Scapia’s zero forex advantage, but do not rely on the Tap to Pay route unless Scapia wallet support changes.

France

France has Klook plus Tap to Pay.

Best Scapia strategy: use Klook for attractions, tours and experiences when pricing is sensible. Treat Tap to Pay as a route for other eligible Visa cards, not the main Scapia route.

Japan

Japan is newly included. The campaign site shows Klook and Tap to Pay.

Best Scapia strategy: Klook can be useful for attractions, day trips, transport passes and experiences. This is one of the more practical new additions for Scapia users.

Nepal

Nepal is newly included, with Klook and Tap to Pay shown on the campaign site.

Best Scapia strategy: use Klook where available for planned experiences. Keep backup payment options because card and contactless acceptance can vary by merchant.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka is newly included, with Klook and Tap to Pay shown on the campaign site.

Best Scapia strategy: use Klook for tours and activities where pricing makes sense. For local spends, Scapia’s zero forex remains useful even when the transaction earns only the base campaign reward.

Singapore

Singapore is the strongest country in this campaign because it has the widest partner list.

CategoryPartners
AttractionsKlook, Resorts World Sentosa, Skyline Luge Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Oceanarium, Universal Studios Singapore
RidesGrab
ShoppingLotte Duty Free, Mustafa Centre and Mustafa Jewellery
Wallet routeGoogle Pay, Samsung Pay Tap to Pay

Best Scapia strategy: use Scapia at eligible partner merchants such as Klook, Grab, attractions, Lotte Duty Free and Mustafa Centre. Singapore is excellent for completing 20 transactions.

Thailand

Thailand is practical because the offer covers rides, duty-free, grocery/retail and attractions.

CategoryPartners
AttractionsKlook, Safari World Bangkok
ShoppingKing Power, Gourmet Market
RidesGrab
Wallet routeGoogle Pay, Samsung Pay Tap to Pay

Best Scapia strategy: use Scapia for eligible Grab rides, Klook activities, Safari World tickets, Gourmet Market and King Power purchases where the terms match.

United Arab Emirates

The UAE partner list is shorter but still usable.

CategoryPartners
AttractionsKlook
RidesBolt
Wallet routeGoogle Pay, Samsung Pay Tap to Pay

Best Scapia strategy: use Bolt for ride transactions and Klook for attractions where pricing is competitive.

United Kingdom

The UK has Klook plus Tap to Pay.

Best Scapia strategy: Klook is the practical extra-10% route for Scapia. Regular non-partner spends are still useful because Scapia has zero forex, but they may earn only the base Visa campaign reward.

United States of America

The USA has Klook plus Tap to Pay.

Best Scapia strategy: use Klook for attractions, city passes and experiences where available. Since US spends can be large, track your progress toward the ₹1 lakh milestone and the ₹50,000 cap.

Vietnam

Vietnam has Klook plus Tap to Pay.

Best Scapia strategy: use Klook for tours and attractions. Tap to Pay acceptance can vary, and Scapia users should not treat wallet Tap to Pay as their primary route.

Important Exclusions

Online spending is generally not eligible unless it is on the portal, webpage or app of a specified Visa merchant partner.

Prepaid online hotel bookings are not eligible unless directly covered through a specified partner channel.

Cancelled, reversed, returned, refunded, disputed or unsuccessful transactions do not count.

Transactions must be fully posted and processed through VisaNet.

The transaction date is based on the VisaNet settlement posting date, not necessarily the day you made the purchase.

Rewards may post with a delay, and redemption is subject to availability.

Scapia Example: First ₹1 Lakh

Visa Jetsetter milestone₹10,000
Scapia forex markup₹0
Scapia coins₹0
Approx. net value₹20,500

Effective return: 20.5%.

This is the main Scapia sweet spot.

Scapia Example: ₹2 Lakh on Same Card

Assume the full ₹2 lakh qualifies for the extra 10% layer.

Spend SlabVisa Reward
First ₹1,00,000₹20,500
Next ₹1,00,000₹10,500
Total Visa reward₹31,000

Effective return: 15.5%.

Still excellent, but the second ₹1 lakh is less powerful because the milestone has already been used.

Scapia Example: ₹3.81 Lakh to Max the Card

Assume all spends qualify for the extra 10% layer.

ComponentAmount
Approx. spend required₹3,80,952
Maximum Visa campaign reward₹50,000
Scapia forex markup₹0
Scapia coins₹0
Effective Visa returnApprox. 13.1%

This is still a strong return because Scapia has no forex markup. But if another eligible Visa card is available, unlocking a fresh ₹1 lakh milestone elsewhere may produce better blended value.

8Avoid paying in INR abroad; choose local currency
9Track reward posting and redeem in ₹1,000 blocks
10If you have another eligible Visa card, repeat the first ₹1 lakh milestone there

Final Word

For Scapia Visa cardholders, Visa Power Travel is unusually clean.

Scapia does not give Scapia coins on international spends, but it also does not charge forex markup. That makes the calculation simple: the value comes from the Visa campaign, and Scapia’s zero forex feature protects that value from being diluted.

The expansion to Australia, Japan, Nepal and Sri Lanka makes the campaign much more useful for common Indian travel routes. For Scapia users, the most practical new opportunity is eligible Klook spending in those destinations.

If you structure the first ₹1 lakh correctly across 20 eligible transactions, the Visa campaign alone can deliver ₹20,500, or 20.5% value back.

The key is not just spending abroad. The key is spending in the right way: use listed Visa partner merchants, keep Klook in mind for the newly added destinations, complete the milestone early, and then decide whether to continue on Scapia or move to another eligible Visa card for a fresh ₹10,000 Jetsetter bonus.
